Membership Training
INSTRUCTIONAL ECOSYSTEM

I collaborated with Scrapaneers Training to design, develop, and deliver an expansive eLearning membership program comprising of 67 multimedia courses focused on advancing adult learners from intermediate to proficient users of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Elements.

The program operated as a scaleable online learning ecosystem that combined instructional design strategy, multimedia production, and community-based engagement to support over 425 international learners.

Design Notes & Rationale

  • This large-scale project involved developing and managing a five-year online learning membership delivering 67 multimedia courses in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Elements to over 425 adult learners worldwide.

The goal was to guide learners from intermediate to advanced proficiency through project-based learning and iterative skill development. I conducted a full learner analysis, created user personas to identify skill gaps, and established an instructional roadmap releasing one new course each month.

The framework combined SAM (Successive Approximation Model) and Backward Design to ensure each class aligned with measurable competencies while remaining agile and adaptable across the program’s lifespan.

  • The program design emphasized multimodal, scalable learning built on principles of cognitive scaffolding and visual engagement. I produced high-quality video tutorials, handouts, and digital assets using Telestream Screenflow, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Keynote, ensuring instructional clarity across formats.

Each course included hands-on projects, allowing learners to apply new techniques in authentic design scenarios. I also established a consistent branding and visual identity system — defining color palette, typography, and layout standards — to create coherence across all 60+ courses.

Collaboration was integral: I partnered with 20 SMEs and multiple creative vendors to produce original content, while leading a team of eight designers who developed promotional materials and learner showcases. Together, we cultivated a vibrant learning community supported by asynchronous classes and live monthly webinars that encouraged peer exchange and feedback.

Outcomes

The membership achieved exceptional engagement and long-term learner success, maintaining an 85% retention rate and a 64% course completion rate year over year. Within 16 months, 70% of learners demonstrated mastery of intermediate Photoshop skills through project portfolios, and 21% advanced to professional or published design work.

The program’s sustained performance reflected the strength of its instructional framework, community model, and visual strategy. This experience solidified my expertise in building large-scale, data-informed learning ecosystems that balance creative flexibility with instructional rigor.
